    About Eurambeen Historic Homestead & Gardens Wedding Venue

    Theodore and Agnes commissioned Edna Walling to design their garden in 1937 after the homestead was extended in the late 1920s. The Edna Walling Gardens at Eurambeen are stunning, with their distinctive stone walls, garden rooms, and perennial flora. Initially designed for families, the gardens are now available for groups to visit. The Eurambeen Gardens are available to the public every two years and can be rented for weddings and other occasions.

    The Eurambeen homestead, located nine kilometres west of Beaufort, is a historically significant structure. It was founded in 1862 by Irish potato farmers George and Francis Beggs, who built it out of locally quarried Stone and Oregon hardwood. The slate for the roof came from England. Major Thomas Mitchell, surveyor-general of New South Wales, and his party became the first European explorers to go through this region in 1836 while travelling to chart tributaries along the Murray River. Squatters took over large areas of grazing land for agricultural purposes, bringing thousands of livestock with them, and European colonization of the region began in the 1840s. Mt Cole Station, owned by brothers Alexander and Colin Campbell from 1840 to 1850, was known as Eurambeen. Each of these landowners constructed homes and used their land mostly for grazing.

Tim and Narelle Cullen, the owners, run the company. Before building the Payne's Rise cellar door, both lived and worked in the Yarra Valley and ran local companies. Tim worked in a local orchard as a teenager while earning a business degree and a Viticulture diploma. Following that, Charles Sturt University offered an applied science degree in Viticulture. In 1999, he started working with a local agribusiness, and he continues to consult as an agronomist/viticulturist around the Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula.     Cabernet Sauvignon was the first variety planted in 1999. Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc are planted. Our vineyard and wines are still evolving. We've learned how to best harness the expression of location after 20 years of growing vines on our distinctive tiny property in Seville. As a result, our vineyard now has a distinct voice, which we hope to capture and express in clean and honest wines. Franco D'Anna is the man for the job. Since 2008, Franco has collaborated with Tim on several projects. No chemicals or enzymes are used in the winemaking process, a straightforward, conventional approach. It's understated and mild, with an oak regime that reflects the season.

    Our trek to Banyandah Homestead took several decades to complete. Our family has always resided in this wonderful corner of the world, and we raised our children on the adjacent farm for a long period. Driving the paddock blast to catch the school bus, early mornings spent feeding calves, and countless days spent cleaning up the forest floor, large open landscapes, and lake fishing were all part of our upbringing and lifestyle.

    The origins of the term Cave Hill Creek are frequently enquired about. It's fairly straightforward; the creek that runs through our Lake is called 'Cave Hill Creek.' In the Mount Cole State Forest, Cave Hill Creek spills over Raglan Falls and down the northern slopes of Cave Hill. Visitors to Cave Hill Creek can try abseiling at Raglan Falls, located on the granite cliffs. The roots of the term Cave Hill follow a similar rationale. For instance, on Cave Hill's southern slopes, a vast cavern was formed when the lower half of a large rock wall fell, creating a large overhang.     About Chateau Wyuna Wedding Venue

    Our goal is to create lasting memories by providing the couple with the wedding of their dreams. As a result, you can rest assured that we will make the process simple and fun for you, allowing you to focus on what matters: commemorating a significant life milestone and making lasting memories. Clarence Earle, an Australian artist, designed Chateau Wyuna as his dream home. The original structures were built for nine years in the early 1900s, inside a loop of the Olinda Creek in bellbird country.

    The fireplaces and chimney were built initially, with an excellent stonemason placing the carefully picked stones according to Earle's specifications. Then, with the help of Pat and Jim Clancy, Earle constructed the main structure from here (who worked on and off with him for six years). A six-horse team cut barked and hauled the timber three miles to the location, where it was left to season for five years before being used. The biggest logs are 60 feet in length. The logs were left undisturbed except where they were broad-axe dressed to sit properly together.

    The adze gave all square timbers a textured, smooth finish, such as interior doors. The majority of the stringybark furniture is built-in. The marble bath, which was fed with water from the creek via a copper faucet, is the only non-local feature of the house. Dame Nellie Melba, a personal friend of Earle's and a frequent guest, requested that this modern amenity be added.

    The Log Cabin was offered to the public as a restaurant called 'Chateau Wyuna' shortly after WWII, with this unique history. In Melbourne, Burt Lancaster (the actor) was a notable guest. The name 'Wyuna' is derived from an aboriginal term that means 'onrushing streams.' Since WWII, the original buildings have been joined to create the location that it is now – intriguing, unique, character-filled, and old-world charm, making it a reception centre unlike any other. The Log Cabin is presently used as a bridal getaway, complete with an ensuite and office.

    The magnificent weatherboard church from Montrose was a charming addition to Chateau Wyuna in 1985. The former Church of Christ, built-in 1909, became too small to house all its attendees, so it was moved to its current location. The original log cottage and the Chapel are on the National Register of Historic Places. The staff at Chateau Wyuna is proud of its history and the wedding and event services it provides. Every aspect is discussed with our clients to guarantee that your big occasion is exactly how you want it to be and that everyone who attends remembers it.

    With up to 150 people, the Burgundy Room is the largest of our two reception rooms. It has a lot of charm, warm wood and a nice atmosphere. The bar is an original element of the home.     About Overnewton Castle Wedding Receptions

    William Taylor completed Overnewton Castle in 1849. The Scotsman purchased 13,000 acres of prime grazing property west of Keilor township. Taylor constructed a one-story bluestone colonial dwelling. There were six rooms, each with enormous shuttered windows and extensive verandahs. The homestead was perched on a slight incline above Keilor, with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. During the 1850s, Keilor grew important as a popular stopover for people heading to the Victorian goldfields. Two new schools, a new bridge, and a new hotel were the projects.

    The grandeur of William Taylor's dreams did not become clear until he returned from a journey to Scotland in 1859. He began transforming the working colonial household into a tiny Scottish Baronial Castle. The Stately two-storied wing was erected, the bluestone Dairy & Butcher Shop and the Private Billiard Room, which is today utilized as a wedding chapel. Overnewton was designed in the Victorian Tudor style, influenced by architecture from the 16th century in England and Scotland. The Scottish baronial architecture hallmarks are the rough-textured masonry, deep pitched roofs, and overhanging battlement corner towers. The influence of French architecture can be seen in the candle snuffer roofs. The estate's bluestone walls were mined on-site and finished with yellow gravel and stucco. The Taylor family crest - a mailed arm and fist enclosing a dagger and the motto "Semper Fidelis" (always faithful) – is carved above the huge windows of the main bedroom, and the carved initials of HT, T 1859, and WT are carved above numerous other windows.

    The farmhouse had over 35 rooms after this addition was completed, including seven bedrooms (the main bedroom had a tiny circle room and a dressing room), a schoolroom, library, drawing room, two kitchens, five servants' rooms, and the Billiard room. Many original features remain, including tiles in the baths, a claw foot tub, and an ancient IXL wood burner in the kitchen. The estate's outbuildings are a bluestone butchery, dairy, lamp room, boot room, coach house, stables, woolshed, shearing sheds, and machine shed. William Taylor died in 1903 at the age of 85, and his wife Helen died six months later at the age of 71. Their eldest son, William Henry, managed the estate until his death in 1939 at the age of 81, and his wife, Beatrice, died in 1948. The Taylor family owned the estate until 1959.

    In 1959, the Carr family bought Overnewton. They used part of the property as a family home and the lower rooms as a wedding reception centre while raising their three children there. Dr L. J. Norton bought Overnewton Estate in 1975, intending to raise his family there. Since then, the property has undergone numerous modifications and changes, including the installation of mains water in 1976 and the fire that destroyed the old timber stables in 1980. Dr Norton purchased 6 acres of land, including a drystone wall and some of the ancient outbuildings, from the original owners.

    Overnewton has weathered the years well, and it looks much the same today as it was first erected. It has undergone various alterations, hidden among the old trees throughout the years. Horses and carriages, gas lights, and servants are no longer in use, but the old-world grace and charm and the elegance, grandeur, and ambience of a bygone era remain. The estate has been refurbished over the years, and a beautiful dining room has been built on the estate, making it a true hidden gem.

    Rent A Television And A Projector

    Slideshows, films, and presentations are a breeze with our brand new Samsung High Definition LED Televisions! They're mounted on a stand with wheels so they can be easily relocated as needed, and they've already proven to be a popular choice among our clients as a fun way to interact with guests at events. We also have a High Definition Acer Projector as an alternative to the televisions mentioned above, while the purpose of both the TVs and the Projector is essentially the same!

    Specifications of the Function

    We often set up for a function in the early afternoon (for a night-time function), so everything is ready to go nice and early! After a function, it takes us roughly 60 minutes to pack everything up. This time is not included in your booking, and you will not be charged for setup or pickup time. Our regular fee is reasonable, and it includes everything from speakers and lighting to smoke and laser effects. For half the quantity of equipment, other companies may charge hundreds more! The only additional fees you might face from us are if your venue is outside Ballarat, such as Warrnambool! It is usually less expensive to hire us than to engage a local firm, and we guarantee you will have a much more fun night!

    Don't be taken advantage of by those that charge hidden fees and fail to deliver on their claims. You could be charged extra for something as simple as a microphone and microphone stand or slammed with a separate payment if your event runs over schedule. The Outdoor Museum is known worldwide as a living museum with uncommon trades, working machinery and displays, costumed interpreters, and visitor involvement. A total of 350 people are employed to bring our gold rush story to life. They are aided by over 250 volunteers who assist with curatorial work and tour guiding and help bring the Outdoor Museum to life.
